What to Expect at your Initial Consultation

There is an $85 fee for your initial consultation, which typically lasts 45 minutes.  That time will be used to discuss your situation and give you advice. If I feel your situation warrants legal action, I will propose a plan to resolve your problem and explain the costs of pursuing my recommendations.

You will need to bring with you to the first appointment a brief outline of what happened to you at work, any documents from your employer that relate to your problem, and an employee handbook if you have one.  It is permissible to come with a spouse or significant other to help explain the problem.  If you have children, it is best to leave the children with someone so you can focus your attention on the appointment and not be distracted by the children.

My assistant will schedule your appointment.  He will take a brief description of your problem, including the name of your employer and your dates of employment.  He may also give you some general advice about applying for unemployment benefits if you have been terminated.  He will also give you directions to the office and available parking.  He will not discuss fees, other than the fee for the initial consultation.  My fee structure is determined on a case-by-case basis.
